A highly effective method
of teaching reading,
writing and subjects through:

To limit opportunities for failure
To self-correct
To eliminate criticism

STUDENTS LEARN:

To follow instructional models.

To cooperate with teachers.

To be independent self-starters.

To have excellent work/study habits.

To stay on task.

RESULTS:
Improved reading and writing skills.
Optimism for learning.
Improved self-image
Confidence to try new subjects.
-----------------------------------------------

333:
A series of short topic “tests”
with no wrong answers
that challenge the student’s
reading,
listening,
writing,
speaking and
memory skills.

444:
Chorusing,
copying and tracing
a series of meaning phrases
that are repeated four times each,
for a total of 12 repetitions.

Students learn meaningful phrases
that comprise 90%
of our written
and spoken language.

Students learn letter and
sound combinations
in meaningful contexts.

555:
Students learn history and science

while learning to read and write

through a series of:

5 minutes of listening & note-taking
5 minutes of oral tell-backs
5 minutes of writing from notes

The lesson is broken up
into 5-minute segments
so that new information
can be processed
before it is overwritten
by later material.
-------------------------------------------------

The Peterson Reading system
provides multi-modality learning
so that new information is quickly
and completely processed
through the sensory memories:
Visual
Auditory
Kinesthetic
Tactile

Kinesthetic and tactile memories
of the mouth, arms and hands
reinforce visual & auditory memories.

Lessons gradually increase in difficulty
so students experience
continuous successes
at every level.
